Eagle's Nest Country Club first opened for play in 1979. The course was designed by Benjamin J. Wihry.
Eagles Nest Country Club is one of the most challenging and scenic golf courses in the area. Winding through the wooded hills of Central Pulaski County, Eagles Nest has several tight driving holes, and the greens are quick. Water hazards come into play on six holes. The signature hole is #8, a 145-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee over water to an island green.
Eagle's Nest Country Club plays to a par-71 and maximum distance of 6,404 yards.

Played after a 175 person scramble so the course was wide open. After attending a conference at the Center for Rural development I was able to get to the course at 4:00pm on a Wednesday after a call to the pro shop. The 18-hole "Eagle's Nest" course located on Hwy 39 (not identified on YELP correctly) is in the Eagle's Nest Country Club facility in Somerset, Kentucky. The course features 6,404 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71 . The course rating is 70.8 and it has a slope rating of 123. Good soft greens for 94 degree weather. Well worth the fee.

Many difficult but great holes. 1 and 10 are similar, but really test your golf skills. It is a very fun course with nice views. The greens are great, but a couple of them were in subpar condition. A couple fans would greatly help these greens.
